CORPORATE SPIRIT AWARD
CENTRAL CALIFORNIA ALLIANCE
FOR HEALTH The Corporate Spirit Award goes to our partner who has shown outstanding support for the Community Investment Fund of the United Way - through workplace campaign and sponsorship. This year the award went to Central Californai Alliance for Health for a campaign that had a major increase in both dollars raised and participation rate. The organization is a consistent campaign leader and the entire company is engaged.

COMMUNITY PARTNER AWARD
DOMINICAN HOSPITAL
The Community Partner Award celebrates and recognizes an organization that has an ongoing partnership with the United Way of Santa Cruz County - a partnership that supports many initiatives that reflect our goals. For the past several years, Dominican Hospital has supported the Community Assessment Project, 2-1-1, Go For Health, 52-10 - as well as a running Gold Campaigns, participating as Campaign Chairs and a having an ongoing presence on our Board.

LIVE UNITED AWARD CHILD & FAMILY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS:
SANTA CRUZ COMMUNITY COUNSELING CENTER
CFDP develops services that focus on the well-being of children - services which align with our goal of Helping Youth to Succeed in School and in Life. Through the work of the Child Abuse Prevention Commitee, CFDP partners with United Way in supporting the Week of the Child to educate and strengthen our families. This culminates with the Children's Parade and Free Family Fun Fair - bringing together over 700 families to have fun together while being educated and having access to the resources to support them.

Volunteers of the Year
JANET COTTON
Janet has volunteered hours and hours at the United Way - folding and stuffing letters, brochures, pledge forms, donation packets. The hours that she spends in service to us makes a huge difference in our productivity.
BARBARA GERRY
Barbara Gerry volunteered her time and talent to create an impactiful campaign video for our 70th Anniversary. This highly professional video, required hours of her time, but was very successful in helping us to explain our work.

PROJECT HOMELESS CONNECT
For the past three years, the Proejct Homeless Connect Steering commitee has ensured the success of PHC by fund-raising and overseeing all the sub-committees it takes to run an event of this size. They are all volunteers - and Project Homeless Connect is a passion for them.

SUSAN GREENE
Susan has been a long time advocate for the rights of people who are involved with the criminal justice system.
Her recent advocacy on the effects of prison realignment and innovative responses ensures that her work will continue to have positive impact on our community for years to come.

Organization Advocate of the Year
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY HEALTH SERVICES AGENCY
HSA has been our active partner in two collaboratives, Go For Health and Together for Youth. Three individuals particularlyly have been leaders and innovators in the support of our Youth & Health goals.
Bob & Leslie lead the efforts of GFH subcommittees - Fitness & Healthy Food. Brenda has led several projects for TFY including the award-winning Friday Night Live.

Good Times really led the way in engaging the communtiy in our Marilyn events. They created and promoted the Marilyn Look-Alike contest - at the same time promoting our Gala and the exhibit, as well as our goals and mission.

Outstanding Contributor
SCOTT FORTNER
Scott offered his priceless collection of Marilyn Monroe's personal effects to United Way to highlight as part of a fundraiser including an exhibit and Gala. "An Experience with Marilyn - An Intimate Look at the Legend' brought together volunteers from across the county - but no one worked harder than Scott. This labor of love resulted in a wonderful event that was an extremely successful fundraiser for the United Way.

Employee Campaign Manager of the Year
DEBORAH ROBINSON -
VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION In the 3 years that Debbie has been an ECM, the participation rate and dollars raised by VNA has almost tripled. She creates a campaign that is fun and interesting, she engages one-on-one, and she believes in the power of educating her fellow employees on the work of our United Way.
