Know any Community Heroes?

The United Way's Community Assessment Project (CAP) has set 19 community goals to make Santa Cruz County residents safer, healthier, and more politically involved. Now we want your help in order to recognize the persons in the county that are responsible for moving the community forward in achieving these goals.

Selected Community Heroes will be recognized in the CAP's 14th Annual Report which is distributed countywide. In addition the Santa Cruz Sentinel writes an article on the selected heroes and they are also recognized on the CAP website which can be accessed by clicking the logo above.

The CAP assessed the quality of life in Santa Cruz County in 1995 and did so again in 2006. The CAP focuses on six general areas: economy, education, health, natural environment, public safety and social environment. A complete list of goals is located below the Community Hero Nomination Form.
