2008 Advocates of the Year
|
Jóvenos SANOS is a project of Go for Health - a community collaboration convened by the United Way of Santa Cruz County. This group of teenage advocates have been raising awareness in Watsonville about childhood obesity and its dangers since 2005. They have been involved in a number of projects in the community and are working with the Mayor and City Council of Watsonville. They have accomplished much in a few short years.

Because of their outstanding focus on an issue that has real impact in the community, they were awarded United Way of Santa Cruz County's first Advocate of the Year award.
