Meet Our Artists

We are so thrilled and fortunate that these two amazing artists stepped forward to help us celebrate our 70th anniversary!  Kimberly's striking graphic poster represents Santa Cruz County from north to south and east to west to depict the county we serve.  Barbara's exciting video creatively tells the story of the many ways the United Way is impacting our community today.

We are grateful that they gave of themselves and their talent to make this special anniversary so vibrant.

Barbara has always enjoyed being a photographer.  But when her camera was accidentlaly set to shoot video 5 years ago, she discovered her true passion -- creating short movies.  The movies have led to commercial credits as a wedding videographer, book trailer producer, and an online business promoter.  Her efforts as a chronicler of local surf-related events are shown at the Santa Cruz Surf museum and in Kristin Zambucka's upcoming feature on Hawaiin TV "The ALII Surfers".

In addition, Barbara recnetly won first prize in a TV commerical contest for SantaCruzJobs.com

She has found a larger audience for her films through the 70th Anniversary Campaign video for the United Way of Santa Cruz COunty and the Volunteer Center's storyboard.

"I'm grateful to live here, so volunteering my skills to organizations which benefit the community feels right".
