Introduction
The Alexis de Tocqueville Society consists of exceptional individuals who provide the impetus for improving the lives of others through their compassion, commitment and generosity. The name of the Society was chosen because of Tocqueville's admiration for the American spirit of voluntary association and voluntary effort for the community good. Currently there are more than 400 Societies across the United States with nearly 21,000 individuals most who reinvest annually in their local Societies. |
