Child Abuse Prevention Committee (CAPC)

The Children's Network sponsors the Child Abuse Prevention Committee (CAP-C), which is funded by the County Human Services Department. The efforts of the CAP-C work towards increasing the safety of our county's children by educating families, service providers and community members. The Children's Network and CAP-C promote awareness of the abuse and neglect of children and provide the resources available for intervention and treatment through the dissemination of child abuse prevention messages to the community, including eight annual mandated reporter trainings. In addition, CAP-C sponsors Triple-P (Positive Parenting Program) Level 1 universal parent information campaign, and the public information program associated with it.
