Mariah Tanner is the Director of Community Development for the Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County and is a co-founder of the Emerging Leaders Circle of Santa Cruz County. With nearly 10 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector, Mariah Tanner, a native of Santa Cruz County, is continually fueled by collaboration & results. 

​Previously the Marketing Manager for the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership, her range of marketing and development skills, along with a powerhouse network, have led her to co-founding and serving as the Co-Chair of the United Way of Santa Cruz County's Emerging Leaders Circle, fulfilling the role as Event Logistics Director & Core Team Member for TEDxSantaCruz, serving as a Board Member for the Yoga For All Movement, and holding a seat on the steering committee for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, Mariah is fortunate to collaborate on projects and with incredible leaders advancing social justice in Santa Cruz County and beyond. 

​Her passion for helping nonprofits fulfill their inner-potential and elevate missions towards creating social good is what motivates her to do what she loves: marketing and fund development. Co-creating with organizations to advance outcomes through strategic messaging, increasing fundraising efforts, elevating brand awareness, and shining a spotlight on their impact is her ultimate goal.
