Alanah Martinez is a Community Impact Intern through the UCSC Humanities EXCEL program, supporting United Way of Santa Cruz County’s youth-led programming and mental health equity initiatives. A first-generation college student from Hollister, they hold A.A. degrees in Liberal Arts & Sciences, Psychology, and Women’s Studies from Cabrillo College and are now a Senior-standing transfer student at UC Santa Cruz majoring in Feminist Studies and Critical Race & Ethnic Studies. They have a background in youth-centered roles with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County, Youth Alliance in Hollister, and the California Association of Student Councils. Alanah is dedicated to community collaboration and advancing inclusive, healing-centered spaces for youth leadership.
