Born and raised in Silicon Valley, Alexi earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2006. He began his career as an applications engineer at Linear Technology before becoming one of the founding members of Armature Systems, an enterprise networking and security consulting firm that continues to serve many Fortune 500 companies.
In 2019, Alexi was part of the founding team that launched Santa Clara University’s flagship venture accelerator, which ultimately led to co-founding Santa Clara Ventures; a venture capital fund dedicated to backing the best and brightest SCU alumni founders. After settling in Santa Cruz in 2021, he became inspired by the region’s rich but often under-recognized history of innovation, leading to the creation of Santa Cruz Ventures in 2023 to capitalize and support the most promising early-stage companies born out of the area.
