We Belong Project - UC Santa Cruz and Jovenes SANOS Partner on Community Engaged Research Project

July 7, 2020 - Santa Cruz, CA: As the impacts of COVID-19 continue to mount, there is a need for community voices to be heard to inform local policy and support for underrepresented communities. University of California Santa Cruz Professor Steve McKay and United Way's Jovenes SANOS students are partnering to conduct the We Belong Research Project: A Community Engagement on Immigrant Justice and Social Determinants of Health. This project will give local high school students the opportunity to be exposed to college-level research and connect with college interns as well as professors. Youth will conduct the research and participate in data collection.

Jovenes SANOS is accepting applications from youth and young adults interested in participating in the We Belong Research Project. Recruitment is now open for high school students through age 22: https://bit.ly/382w7r.

This is an inclusive space for youth - no previous research experience is necessary.
