United Way Names New CEO

 After an extensive national executive search and series of interviews with United Way Board members and a panel of community leaders, Keisha Frost was unanimously chosen to lead our local United Way.  For the past five years Keisha has been our Director of Community Giving and Marketing and served this past year as Associate Executive Director.  A graduate of the University of Washington in communications, she comes to this new position with a wealth of non-profit experience including working with Trident United Way in Charleston, South Carolina, the Girl Scouts and the YMCA.

Locally, Keisha has served on the Board of Digital NEST, Your Future Is Our Business, Monarch Services, and the FInance Committee of Encompass Community Servinces. She is actively engaged with United Ways of California and United Way Worldwide and recently completed the Advanced Leadership Program for future senior leaders of the United Way. In her tenure with our United Way she established the Emerging Leaders Circle, mid-career professionals dedicated to improving the community, and she has grown the Women In Philanthropy donors group dedicated to children's school success through enrichment activities. She has developed one of the most advanced digital giving and donor engagement platforms in the United Way movement. 

On a personal note, Keisha and her husband Charles, an audio engineer, have three children - twins Charles III and Braelyn, and baby Brightlyn. Keisha also has two teenage sons, Kaleb and Joshua, who live during the school year in Charleston, South Carolina.
