Julia Feldman

Julia Feldman returned to her roots in mediation after a 20-year detour in County Government where she worked for the Santa Cruz County Probation Department as a Deputy Probation Officer and Supervisor.  She graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies and a minor in United States/Mexico Relations. Julia first took the Conflict Resolution Center’s community mediation class in 2000, while she was employed at The Mediation Institute in Monterey, CA.

Hajime Arnold

Hajime Arnold serves on the Board of Directors for United Way of Santa Cruz County. As VP of Global Clinical Affairs at Recor Medical, Hajime brings extensive leadership experience in building high-performing teams and driving strategic growth. He previously co-founded Emanate Life Sciences, a clinical data management company serving biotech and medical device firms, where he led operations, business development, and team building efforts.

Faris Sabbah

Dr. Faris Sabbah serves as Santa Cruz County Superintendent of Schools. Prior to his election to office in 2018, Dr. Sabbah worked for 30 years across almost all levels of education as a county deputy superintendent, county assistant superintendent, university professor, director, assistant principal, teacher, and instructional aide. He holds a bachelor’s in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz, a master’s in Educational Leadership from San Jose State University, and a doctorate in Leadership for Educational Equity from UC Berkeley.

Patty Winters

As the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Bay Federal Credit Union, Patty Winters champions the strategic integration of human capital management with organizational objectives. Her leadership ensures that every HR initiative, from talent acquisition to organizational development, aligns seamlessly with the Credit Union’s overarching goals. By embedding strategy into recruitment, employee engagement, and leadership development, Patty plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture that drives business performance.

Travaris Harris

Dr. Travaris Harris currently serves as the Vice President of Instruction at Cabrillo College. With 25 years of experience in higher education, he has held roles including Associate Provost of Student Success, Dean of Business and Social Sciences, Dean of Students, and faculty member at Harper College in Palatine, IL. He has led the implementation of Guided Pathways reforms, overseen first-year learning communities, and developed faculty training workshops aimed at improving classroom success for historically minoritized students.
