Sign up for the FREE Service Provider Training at the upcoming Buiding Futures Prop. 47 Record Change Fair (January 28th)! This training is for service providers and anyone serving individuals who may be eligible for a criminal record change and will include:
Basics of Record Clearance Law: Learn the types of remedies available in California, eligibility for relief, and what this relief can and cannot do for a person
Screening Clients and Making Referrals: Walk through a screening tool that will help service providers determine whether a referral to a legal service provide is appropriate. This will also provide legal aid or PDs with basic information needed to provide specific legal advice.
Live Scan & Obtaining Records: Learn how clients can obtain their criminal records in advance of a legal clinic. Learn the process of applying for a fee waiver, prepare clients with a list of items they need to bring with them to the live scan appointment, and provide a list of live scan locations in the area.
